Memory Catching 🕯️✨
“Memory Catching,” as I call it, is a ritual I’ve shared with my daughter, Ryanna.
Most Sundays, we slow down and create space to be intentional. We set our intentions and our energy, light candles, play uplifting music, and lay out all the photographs we’ve taken throughout the week.
Then we create.
Our scrapbook becomes a little time capsule of our lives—her games and sports, the moments in between, the community work and activities I’ve been part of, the laughter, the challenges, the ordinary moments that somehow become extraordinary when we look back.
We talk about the highs and lows of the week. What made us proud. What challenged us. What we learned. What we’re grateful for. And, most importantly, what we’re looking forward to in the week ahead.
For me, Memory Catching has never really been about the scrapbook.
It’s about presence.
It’s about teaching my daughter to pause long enough to recognize the beauty in her own life. To celebrate the wins, honor the hard moments, and understand that even the smallest memories are worth holding onto.
Ryanna is my daughter, but she is also my best friend. She has saved my life in more ways than she will probably ever fully understand. Sharing these moments with her means everything to me.
One day, we’ll look back at these pages and see far more than photographs.
We’ll see our story.
Our growth.
Our love.
Our journey.
Our memories. And that, to me, is priceless.
Blessings. 🤍
