The Information of the Infant mortality rate, pertaining to the African-American, mother and child was shocking. With four different informative resources up at once I Saw hardly any difference from what was said in the documentary and between all four references. They all blatantly displayed the same thing, that being the asinine numbers.
The state of Michigan alone mocks up to 6.22 rating , the literal numeral standing at 684 infant deaths alone. Example, Detroit alone, in 2018, stood at a mock up of 16.7 infant deaths per 1,000 live births. That’s a total of 158 deaths just belonging to one city. To further drive that home black infant mortally in Detroit , is 18.9 per 1000, whereas white infants for reference stood at 6.4.
Data found states such statistics about racially relevant infant mortality rates out of 1000 live births in the State of Michigan as of 2018:
White-4.7
Black-14.4
Native American-2.2
Asian-3.5
Hispanic-7.7
Middle eastern-5.3
Between all discriminatory information, the ready availability of the stats is concerning with how overlooked the. The general information from the documentary is only made more sure by the research, devastating the idea that such a reality could coldly separate one group from another. The point being, it is apparent what really such a skewed belief could result in numbers that nearly doubled that of the white rates.
The denominator being 1000 is a shameful thing to put a numerator on at any number especially when the data is that of a human life.
