I was pregnant with twins. At a routine stress test visit in my last trimester the nurse told me that I may be at risk and that I need to go home, prepare and come back for delivery. I went home but I didn’t rush back. The doctor called me and told me I should be on my way back because of my stress test. He also told me that my babies were small and probably wouldn’t come home with me. That scared me enough to hurry on to the hospital. when I got to the hospital, I was instantly given an iv without a choice. I wasn’t giving the option on position change or walking. There was a medication inserted that was supposed to soften my cervix. The medicine didn’t work and they tried 2 times. after the second dose didn’t work, they said I would need to have a c section and of course I agreed because I was scared. So, I was given an epidural and rolled off into the big bright, cold operating room. I was given a c section and delivered 2 beautiful babies. They were 5 pounds each and were able to go home with me. I feel like my babies and I were rushed. I really wish I would have been able to have a natural birth and experience it the way God intended not the white coats.

Thanks Chandra for sharing your story. Unfortunately I am learning all to well of the scare tactics they use to pressure us into things. One of my ways is to be a tool to help empower us more to not give into these tactics of control. Blessings to you and your beautiful twins. 😊
