On October 30th I gave birth to my son Brandon aka nugget. I was 17 when I got pregnant and had him at 18 and I remember being so scared not knowing what to do with being a young mom. I am extremely thankful for my mom for helping and supporting me throughout my pregnancy, I spent a lot of my time watching labor and delivery videos on youtube lol. My due date was October 29th and I got scheduled to get induced on the 30th, the morning of I felt so many emotions like excited,anxoius,nervous but all in all I felt ready. When we got settled in the room and they connected me to eveyrthing I remember thinking “its about to happening, its finally happening.” All the emotions I felt went out the door the moment they broke my water and by that point all i felt was painnnnn, I kept telling myself that this was all temporary pain for a lifetime of happiness (heard that in a show once and it just stuck with me). When the nurse came to check my cervix I knew it was time to push when I blinked and it went from 2 nurses to 20 and next thing I know baby boy was here. It was the longest 13 hrs of my life but it was the greatest time of my life as well. I cherish my pregnancy and every moment of my labor and here we are six years later and its truly never a dull moment and it really is a lifetime of happiness.

Thank you Samyria for sharing your story. Having mom be there to support you through it all makes my heart tingle. I can only imagine what you felt when it went from 2 to 20 lol. You are a champ
