· The menu would include: mom’s favorite foods, fresh fruits & veggie trays, hot teas and iced teas.
· I would decorate with the pastel tone of mom’s favorite color and gold.
· I would include in the invite a request for natural soaps, aromatherapy scents, soaks, and body butters
· I would include in the invite a request for black baby books, and contribution to the doula fund.
· I would have beautiful stationary calendar for a meal sign up sheet and encourage enlisters to commit to their phone calendars as a reminder (food suggestions & prohibits will be listed on the sign-up sheet).
· We would video tape a mommy-blessing segment with prayers, affirmations, and well-wishes
· The Elder Mother in the family will be asked to wash mom’s feet while praying.
· Pack up leftovers for mom and family, clean up before leaving.
